Guerilla Gardening, Mayday 2000. In a protest organised by the direct action group RTS (Reclaim the Streets) against globalisation activists dug up the grass in Parliament Square outside the Houses of Parliament, London and planted organic vegetable seeds, shrubs and flowers. Others hung banners, played music and conducted discussion groups. Banners were hung from lamposts and turf was stripped back to make planting space in a 'Carnival Against Capitalism'..
