Anti globalisation demonstration in Prague at international meeting with IMF, World Bank & major industrial nations Sept 26 2000. Sarit, London, Lesbian Activist (29). "We were held at the border for hours on end. The Czech police refused to let us pass. Why? Maybe they are afraid of the demonstrators' power. I'm glad to be here now. Gays and lesbians are also against the IMF and the World Bank. It's important to show the world that we, people of an other sexual nature, also have an opinion on matters like these. Last year we had a "Radical Queer Gathering' in New York. Around three hunderd politically consious queers discussed globalisation, society and open sexuality. I haven 't seen that many gays here but I don't mind. Only one thing matters, to show the world the way of money is the wrong one.''.
