Maggi Hambling's Scallop, a steel sculpture of a pair of interlocking metal scallop shells 4 metres high on the beach between Aldeburgh and Thorpeness in Suffolk. The work is dedicated to Benjamin Britten and has the words "I hear those voices that will not be drowned", from Britten's opera Peter Grimes cut into it.
