Vienna-Holocaust-Mem-6125.jpg
Rachel Whiteread's Holocaust Memorial ("Nameless Library" 2000) in Judenplatz, Vienna, Austria. This is a cast of the interior of an early 20th century domestic library. The missing books suggest the absence of some 66,000 Austrian Jews (the 'People of the Book') who were murdered in the Holocaust.
